Leather seating, stainless trim, granite-look benches, soft-shut drawers, walk around queen-size bed, air-conditioning, large ensuite with separate shower cubicle and a flushing macerator toilet. The Recon by All Terrain Warriors is as good as it gets for short or long term outback touring for 2 persons.

The Recon model was All Terrain Warrior’s first production 4x4 motorhome.......built to literally go anywhere and then to stay for as long as you wanted. Compact in size, this vehicle is perfectly suited to either the 6-ton GVM Mitsubishi / Fuso FG84 or Isuzu NPS 300 chassis on the standard wheel bases or even the awesome Unimog.

The obvious problem faced by manufacturers of conventional motor homes who claim to have “off road” models is trying to get an interior fit out that could stay together under the roughest conditions. We therefore designed composite interior cupboards and overhead lockers which are bonded to the walls to form one solid structure that will survive even the harshest of corrugations. The result being a sparkling yacht-style luxury interior which is easy to clean, maintain and is super strong.

The latest version of the Recon now shares common furniture with the larger Commando and Conqueror which incorporates the same ensuite and sleeping area. Only the galley / dining area is reduced by 600mm so as to allow fitting to a standard length Fuso FG or Isuzu NPS chassis. Large external storage bins and available payload certainly don’t limit this motorhome in any way for outback travel and long range fuel tanks with high volume water capacity are commonly requested options. This vehicle is for medium to heavy 4x4 use and most accessories can be fitted due to its lighter weight than our Commando on a 6-ton GVM chassis. Options are almost limitless ..................... auto sat / tvs, double automated awnings, Powermakers, hydraulic trailbike racks, large freezers, safes, external bbq’s, boat racks, etc.

The Recon also incorporates All Terrain Warriors proven body design with all lower panels and storage compartments rolled under to avoid damage in this vulnerable area when on deep rutted tracks with high banks. Rooflines are also tapered in the above windows to avoid tree damage to the top roof section when again on deep rutted tracks the vehicle will lay over to one side. From experience, a square shaped body will throw the roof section out into the tree line causing major damage. You will notice on all of our wider motorhomes that the body tapers back in at the mid section. This is to tuck in the lower body as tightly as possible to the wheel tracks. It’s not until you experience these conditions when four wheel driving that you will appreciate the innovations an All Terrain Warrior 4x4 Motorhome has.

The Recon............ 4.6m long x 2.4m wide rear body with full 1.93 m internal head height.........to suit most 4x4 truck chassis such as 4x4 Fuso FG84 or Isuzu NPS (6 ton GVM) or Isuzu, Hino, MAN, Unimog(10 ton GVM and over).
