“Off Road Touring in Style”4x4 buses and coaches

Our Business is Manufacturing 4x4 Buses, Coaches & Specialized Heavy Vehicles _____ and that’s all we do

At All Terrain Warriors we manufacture 4x4 buses and coaches from 12 to 36 seats and have done so for over 20 years. We don’t just build a square box and mount it to a chassis as if it were a pantec and call it a bus. We have unique designed bodies that are shaped that way for a purpose  __4WD WORK.

We roll under all of our below floor level body panels and storage compartments to avoid damage in this vulnerable area when on deep rutted tracks with high banks. We taper in the above window sill body to avoid damage to the top roof section when again on deep rutted tracks when the vehicle lays over to one side. If you have a square type body it will throw the roof section out into the tree line causing major damage. You will notice on all of our wider buses with double seats both sides that the body tapers back in at seat rail height. This is to tuck in the lower body as tightly as possible to the wheel tracks. It’s not until you experience these conditions when four wheel driving that you will appreciate the innovations a Warrior body has.

4x4 Bus SeatingBack in the 1980’s we used to panel our buses with steel zinc and aluminum sheets which we found to be very prone to denting, a constant job resealing the joints and generally hard to maintain.  Because we build so many beach use vehicles that operate in extremely corrosive conditions it has led us down the path to fiberglass. We have found the fiberglass bonded bodies to be dent, corrosive proof and super strong. We have tour vehicles that have operated for many years in the extremes of climate in Central Australia, we have other vehicles doing Cape York tours on horrendous road conditions all with glowing reports of the superiority of the fiberglass bodies over their other vehicles with metal clad bodies.

The way in which the body is mounted to the chassis is paramount for any 4x4 vehicle. The high stress build up in bodies that are hard mounted to the chassis when hard four wheel driving is tremendous. At Warrior with our smaller to medium size vehicles we have a spring mounting system that allows the chassis and the body to separate if they need to. In larger tours buses with MAN chassis that rely on the chassis twisting to articulate over rough terrain we have a 3 or 4 point mounting system for the body that allows free movement between the two.

Our bodies are made to last, we use a lot of marine quality stainless steel fittings wherever we can. The body will outlast the truck chassis several times over, we have beach use bodies that are 10 years old and are still in good condition. This 10 year old body has been remounted to new chassis several times over this time

Always Think of a Warrior Body as a Low Maintenance, Long Term Investment
